Formulation and availability note. Native reformulated its deodorant sticks in 2026 and now states that the stick is “free of aluminum, parabens, phthalates, ozokerite, and baking soda”. This review describes the earlier formulation and has not been rewritten against the new one. Native’s own FAQ says it currently ships only within the United States and that shipping to the UK and EU is paused, and we have found no UK stockist — so a UK buyer may receive either formulation, or may not be able to buy it at all. Coconut & Vanilla is Native’s signature scent, and it’s easy to see why it became their bestseller. It’s warm, comforting, and smells like a tropical holiday - in the best possible way.

The Scent Experience

The coconut is prominent and genuine - creamy and sweet rather than synthetic suntan lotion. Vanilla adds warmth and depth, creating that “good enough to eat” quality that sweet scent lovers adore. A soft musk base grounds everything.

It’s undeniably sweet, which will be divisive. If you like gourmand fragrances and tropical scents, you’ll love this. If you prefer fresh or green scents, look elsewhere.

Native delivers solid, reliable performance:

  • Daily wear: Good protection for 6-8 hours in typical conditions.

The Baking Soda Question

This section previously said the classic Native stick contains baking soda, and we have withdrawn that claim — Native reformulated the stick in 2026 and now states it is “free of aluminum, parabens, phthalates, ozokerite, and baking soda”. Packaging

Native offers both traditional plastic tubes and plastic-free paperboard packaging. The paperboard version feels slightly less premium but works identically. Choosing it eliminates single-use plastic from the equation.
