Our Full Review

Parma Violets is Fussy’s sweetest floral offering - a nostalgic nod to the classic British sweets that evokes childhood memories while delivering serious odour protection.

The Scent Experience

The violet is immediately recognisable - sweet, powdery, and delicate. Rose adds romantic depth, while iris provides a subtle earthy undertone that prevents it from becoming too saccharine. It’s sophisticated sweetness.

Performance

Fussy’s probiotic formula works beautifully here:

  • Daily wear: Excellent all-day protection with a gentle scent trail
  • Longevity: The sweet notes have good staying power
  • Skin feel: Depends which formulation you buy — see below.

Which Fussy formulation this is

Fussy sells two deodorant formulations. Its FAQ says of bicarbonate of soda: “Our Normal formula does but we use much smaller amounts than others plus a very high grade”, and “We also have a Sensitive formula, which doesn’t contain bicarb.” On Fussy’s ingredients page, Sodium Bicarbonate is listed under the Normal formula only. The Sensitive formula adds Glyceryl Caprylate and Arrowroot Powder, and Fussy says of the first: “Glyceryl Caprylate is from the coconut, and replaces the baking soda used in our regular formula.” Every other highlighted ingredient, Tapioca Starch included, appears on both lists.

Fussy sells this scent in both formulations, and this review does not establish which one it describes. Both refill at 40g and the scent name is identical either way, so nothing on the listing distinguishes them for you. If you react to bicarbonate of soda, use the Normal / Sensitive filter on Fussy’s refill page rather than choosing by scent name. This review is based on published specifications, not on wear testing.

Final Thoughts

For those who love sweet florals, Parma Violets is a delight. It’s unique, nostalgic, and genuinely lovely.
